The nutritional composition of this keto chocolate is very special. We use stevia and erythritol as sweeteners. Sweeteners which you can also find separately in the Pit&Pit webshop.
Erythritol is a sweetener consisting of 100% carbohydrates of a special kind: they are polyols. These are carbohydrates which are not absorbed by the body. Empty carbohydrates which contribute nothing to the total nutritional value.
This chocolate contains 28 grams/100 grams of carbohydrates, but 24 grams of those are polyols. In practice, THAT is the erythritol used.
In short, the real carbohydrates naturally present in cocoa is limited to 4 grams per 100. A full bar of 50 grams contains 2 grams of carbohydrates.
